Common use

Montair tablet is generally recommended for managing asthma and alleviating allergy symptoms. This medicine falls under the class of leukotriene receptor antagonists (LTRAs), which are known for their anti-inflammatory properties in respiratory conditions. Apart from its prime use in asthma management, this tablet is also effective in controlling symptoms of allergic rhinitis. This includes sneezing, runny nose, and nasal congestion, which can be quite bothersome and affect your daily activities.

Dosage and direction

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, crush or break the tablet. Be consistent in taking the medicine at the same time each day, this helps maintain a steady level of medicine in your body. For exercise-induced asthma, take one tablet two hours before physical activity.

Precautions

If you are pregnant or lactating, it is advisable to consult your doctor for suggestions before consuming this medication.
Patients with a history of kidney or liver issues should be cautious while taking Montair.

Contraindications

Antibiotics: Specific antibiotics, such as Fosphen and Fosentin, could interact with Montair, resulting in undesirable side effects.
Antihypertensives: Medicines like Milorgen used for high blood pressure might interact with Montair tablet, causing changes in their effectiveness.

Missed dose

If you forget to take your regular dose of Montair tablet, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's nearly time for your next dose, omit the forgotten one and continue with your regular schedule. Do not adjust your dosage without speaking with your doctor.

Overdose

Overdosing on Montair might cause side effects like headaches, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. If these symptoms persist or worsen, inform your doctor.

Storage

Store your Montair tablets at room temperature (below 30°C). Shield it from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it in its original packaging until you need to take it. Always keep it out of reach of children.
